Qualifications:

Job Summary.


Under the supervision of the Strategic Information Lead, the SI Specialist will provide technical assistance and capacity building to M&E and data management staff at Point of Service in support of SI activities in Migori County. He/She will provide support to the M&E and data management components at the Point of Service level.


Roles and Responsibilities:


Provide... specialized training to facility and other partner staff in Health Information Systems including Kenya EMR and other databases.
Provide mentorship to site HRIOs on HIV related M&E systems.
Provide support and data analysis training to health facility staff with focus on use of Kenya EMR

Required Qualifications.

Kit Lot-to-Lot verification to establish fitness for purpose before distribution to testing KENPHIA II teams at both Satellite and Household facilities.
Prepare Quality Control Samples/QC Materials (both Negative and Positive controls).
Perform instrument daily maintenance of equipment to optimize functionality and accuracy of results generated.
Monitor daily environmental controls necessary for testing and storage of reagents including sample storage in fridges and freezers including in the KENPHIA Biorepository.
Perform competency assessment panels for the entire scope of testing work in the KENPHIA II Central Testing Laboratory.
Provide on job trainings for new staff who have been brought in to support testing at Central Testing Laboratory level based KENPHIA training SOPs.

Requirements
Minimum and Preferred Qualifications 

Bachelor of Science Medical Laboratory science or Biomedical sciences
Master of Science in fields of Virology and Immunology will be an added advantage.
For BSc. Medical Laboratory, they should be registered with the Kenya MedicalLaboratory Technologist and Technician Board (KMLTTB) and have a valid Practicing License and experience attachment in an ISO 15189 Accredited Laboratory.
Training with IT background, high level proficient skills in computing, Laboratory information system (LIS).
Knowledge and experience of quality management system essentials is critical in this assignment.
Proficiency in use of Point of Care (POC) systems

 Experience

Reporting to their respective Field Team Leads, Interviewers will be responsible for conducting interviews in selected households. They will also be responsible for obtaining informed consent, assent and parental/guardian permission from eligible participants before they take part in the survey. Since the survey activities will be implemented on a phased approach across the country, the Interviewer will also be required to relocate to the respective assigned regions within the country.

Obtain consent, assent and/or parental/guardian permission from all eligible members of the selected households using KENPHIA II approved forms programmed in a tablet.

Ensure that all assigned interviews are completed, and that collected data are complete, accurate and consistent as per protocol
Validate and re-validate all information and answers collected through the survey.

Respond to all questions/concerns raised by the household members concerning the survey
Assure confidentiality of all information provided by survey participants.

Requirements
Minimum and Preferred Qualifications

A Diploma in Social Science or health related field from a recognized institution.
Good communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English, Kiswahili and relevant local languages as per the location of fieldwork.
A HTS NASCOP certificate, valid proficiency testing, and experience is an added advantage.
Training with IT background, high level proficient skills in computing with experience in use of data collection software’s such as ODK, KOBO Toolbox, REDCAP, CSPro.

 Duties and responsibilities
The Field Medical Laboratory Technologist will perform various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the functions of this position including but not limited to the following technical activities: 

Attend the full survey training to understand the purpose and intent of the survey, as well as the plan for implementation.
Work in a team with main role of implementing bio marker testing in accordance with KENPHIA II Protocol and detailed SOPs in the household and issue results for linkage to prevention, care and treatment.
Organize testing supplies every morning using an approved KENPHIA II Field supplies management SOP to ensure uninterrupted testing services in coordination satellite logistician.
Verify eligible consented or assented respondents for the blood draw and testing in accordance with KENPHIA II Protocol.
Perform phlebotomy as detailed in KENPHIA SOPs and obtain sufficient sample volume to be used for testing and aliquoting as detailed in KENPHIA II protocol and applicable sample collection SOPs.
Properly labelling samples and ensuring they are transported to the satellite laboratories within the defined time as per guiding SOPs.
Test controls at least every two weeks as detailed in the KENPHIA II Laboratory SOPs.
Perform competency every six months as provided KENPHIA II Laboratory SOPs.
Test eligible survey respondents for HIV infection using the three (3) test algorithm as well as Syphilis and Hepatitis B in accordance with KENPHIA II SOPs.
Screen children below 18 months as per KENPHIA II SOPs and ensure packaging and referral for DNA PCR testing (EID) at Satellite Laboratory using GeneXpert POC.
Test Eligible survey respondent for syphilis and issue results for subsequent linkage to prevention and treatment services in facilities of their choice.
Manage waste generated at household level in line with KENPHIA II Biosafety Waste management SOPs.
Report on any accident/ incident occurrence during testing processes of KENPHIA II Biomarkers as per the Events management SOPs.
Effectively communicate to their respective KENPHIA II Regional Laboratory supervisor regarding any challenges encountered for any necessary support.
Documentation of all laboratory activities in forms, tools and electronically in tablets.
Carry out any other duties as assigned by field team leads.

The Regional Survey Coordinator will provide oversight, direction and support to ten field teams in his/her assigned region through the designated team leads and coordinate the regional team composed of the Regional Community Mobilization Officers, Regional Laboratory Officers, Regional HBTS and Linkage To Care Officers, Regional ICT Assistants, Regional warehouse... logisticians and Regional fleet officers.  The incumbent is responsible for providing leadership and troubleshooting all elements of problem solving with field operations, ensure good community relations and serve as the liaison to the Ministry of Health and other implementing institutions in the region.
 Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide survey implementation oversight, direction and support to all field teams in his/her assigned region.
Coordinate other regional field team members including Community Mobilization officers, Regional HBTC and Linkage officers, Regional Laboratory Officers, Regional warehouse logisticians, Regional fleet officers and Regional ICT Assistants.
Support field team training on the study protocol, procedures, policies, relevant regulations and ensure that the study protocol, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other relevant policies and regulations are being followed.
Take leadership on all elements of problem solving, and troubleshooting all field operations
Ensure good community relations and serve as the liaison to the county departments of health, Ministry of Health and other implementing institutions in the region.
Monitor protocol deviations, receive any incident reports and document them in a form that will be transmitted to the Ethics and Regulatory Lead.
Understand and adhere to the protocol, SOPs, and other appropriate regulations, procedures and policies and guide the team leads and field team members to ensure the same.

OVERALL JOB FUNCTION
The Regional ICT Assistants will be responsible for training and supporting the field implementation teams as well as the Satellite Laboratories, to provide technical support to ICT survey technologies including but not limited to data collection IT systems such as tablets and servers by configuration, troubleshooting and ensuring data security to facilitate high-quality... survey data collection.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Act as the First point of contact to Support and troubleshoot all IT related issues in the field and satellite labs not limited to tablets, connectivity, questionnaire content issues i.e. Skip logics, constraints, consenting etc.
Collaborate with the Program Data systems & HI Advisor, Senior ICT officer, and in-country IT team to conduct testing and deployment of CSPro tablet forms.
Troubleshoot platform-level technology issues that may arise with tablets and under the guidance of the Progran Data team, CSPro Programmer, Senior ICT officer, and in-country IT team.
Help identify and resolve potential connection issues within the survey teams (e.g., from tablets to a group router, from lab equipment to tablets, etc.) to ensure timely data transmission.
Conduct daily data quality control checks under guidance of the Data team, Senior ICT officer and in-country IT team and develop reports.
Ensure data security and integrity through implementation of Passwords on mobile devices, Mobile device management solutions, Network security, VPNs and proper physical handling of IT equipment etc.
Working closely with the regional teams in liaison with the regional coordinator to support IT functions across board.
Provide remote technical assistance by phone or through remote access of tablets used during survey.
Provide in-person training and technical support on ad-hoc basis for field teams and support in enforcement of approved SOPs. 
 Install application updates under guidance of the Prgram Data Manager, CSPro programmer and in-country IT team.
Control and maintain an active inventory of tablets and other ICT equipment, report and send damaged equipment for repair and replacement.
Help troubleshoot any software and connectivity issues with Geenius systems, LDMS systems and coordinate return of results.
Attend in-country meetings on data management and security and be able to articulate the data architecture plan to both tech and non-tech external and internal parties.
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Information Technology, Information Technology, Statistics, Informatics, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of two (2) years of related experience managing and working directly with health informatics applications and databases from large research studies.Demonstrated and successful experience managing large, population-based survey data.
 Demonstrated experience in providing remote assistance and support (e.g. from a central office location) to public health teams working in the field.
 Demonstrated experience conducting data quality checks and producing data collection monitoring reports.
Demonstrated experience in using and troubleshooting electronic data collection tools, especially tablets.
Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
Experience working in humanitarian, health or development projects within Kenya with working knowledge of handling personal Identifying information.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

In-depth understanding of data collection applications such as ODK, CSPro, REDCap, CommCare, KoboToolbox etc.
Demonstrated ability to work with mobile telecommunications technologies (GSM,3G/4G,5G etc.), mainly in disconnected mode.
Basic Understanding of cloud-based data storage service offerings, android platform and network connectivity understanding using TCP/IP protocol suite.

Overall Job Function:
KENPHIA II Warehouse Assistant will be responsible to execute stock management activities  (receipt, storage, and issuance to projects or other departments of medical supplies, tools,  equipment and/ or other logistics materials, according to the line manager’s instructions and  as per CIHEB Kenya standards and protocols to ensure... the overall functioning of KenPHIA II activities. S/he  is a key member of the warehouse team and will assist the implementation of quality and  timely stock management activities. As part of the KenPHIA II multidisciplinary team, this position  will interact with staff from different levels and different departments.
Specific Responsibilities and Duties: 

Receiving orders and deliveries, identifying, and reporting potential discrepancies against cargo manifest, purchase orders or others.
Updating and/or creating stock cards for all stock items immediately after reception of
Storing materials in accordance with the system in force to ensure continuous availability ensuring that all items are well organized and correctly stored, well protected, fully identified and easily accessible (cleanliness, security, access, etc.).
Monitoring the store temperature and ensuring cold chain items are stored in an adequate temperature. Keep enhanced control of sensitive goods: numbers of lots, expiry dates, packaging, and special storage conditions
Preparing orders on time before sending goods, and packs (according to transport means) weighs and labels freight with corresponding shipping number, destination, number of shipping units, waybill number, weight, and mode of transport in accordance with the line manager’s instructions
In conjunction with the line manager, performing physical stock counts in accordance with the frequency previously defined. Following up stock levels with regards to alarms thresholds, stock out and expiry dates.
Controlling warehouse limited access to authorized personnel and ensuring doors and other exits are secured. Immediately informing the line manager of any problems arising in the course of the work, particularly regarding damage, loss, attempted break-ins, or theft in the warehouse
Assisting the line manager with preparation of the stock reports
Process system IN/OUT transactions in google doc
Control trucks before loading (cleanness, safety, etc.). Inform warehouse supervisor in case of nonconformity, supervising load and offload of trucks
Ensure proper handling of equipment (e.g., pallet jack, pallets, shelves, etc.) is meeting  Inform warehouse supervisor in case of disorder
Perform any other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills: 

Degree in Biomedical/Medical laboratory sciences, material handling management, Supply chain management and its equivalent.
Minimum 2 years’ work experience as storekeeper is desired, especially in medical warehouse
Medical laboratory skills is desirable.
Working experience with donor funded projects dealing with HIV/AIDS care and  treatment is desirable.
Working knowledge of inventory control and metrics.
Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive  under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills.
Flexibility and available to work for long hours.
Fluent in English and Swahili with good verbal and written communication skills.

Job Function:
Reporting to the Operations Director. The KENPHIA II Central Warehouse Logistician serves as the key individual responsible for the effective management of the central warehouse operations. This role entails overseeing the receipt and dispatch of goods, implementing efficient stock inventory monitoring and replenishment levels, and coordinating the timely distribution of equipment... and supplies to KENPHIA II regional warehouses and field teams. Additionally, the incumbent will assume supervisory responsibilities over the regional logisticians to ensure seamless coordination and adherence to logistical protocols across all operational areas.
Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the central warehouse, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods in accordance with established procedures and standards.
Inventory Control: Implement and maintain systems for monitoring stock levels, conducting regular stock counts, and ensuring accurate record-keeping of inventory transactions.
Distribution Coordination: Coordinate the efficient and timely distribution of equipment, supplies, and materials to regional warehouses and field teams, taking into account logistical considerations such as transportation, storage capacity, and demand forecasts.
Supervision and Training: Provide supervision, guidance, and training to regional logisticians to ensure consistency in operational procedures, compliance with organizational policies, and effective communication within the logistical network.

Qualifications and Experience:

A minimum of a BSc./Diploma/B.Pharm in Laboratory Science, Laboratory Technology, Pharmacy or a related discipline and a certificate in Logistics or Supply Chain Management .
Hands on experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) or Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Experience warehousing and distributing laboratory supplies and reagents to the last mile for non-governmental organizations and CDC/USAID funded projects.
Experience distributing temperature sensitive commodities that need to be maintained between 2 – 8 degrees (refrigerated) Centigrade/Celsius and between -15 to -35 degrees Centigrade/Celsius.
Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience
Prior experience managing laboratory logistics operations for population-based surveys will be an added advantage.
Able to maintain high levels of confidentiality
Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision
Computer savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Flexible, willing to travel and work in both urban and rural parts of Kenya.
Ability to work in a team setting with minimal supervision.
