Key responsibilities:

Build and grow sales team in Kenya to drive growth of light gauge Steel Trussing and Structures
To achieve the annual targets both in terms of volume and value
Formulate sales strategies towards achieving set business and segment targets
Collaborate with marketing function and identify potential/new business opportunities and new market segments.
Formulate policy and... guideline in handling business contracts, securing required contact and background information on clients and competitors and creation/management of client database.
Prepare sales forecasts, objectives and development of robust project pipelines
To develop a robust pipeline of projects for Ultra span through engagements with several stakeholders groups to drive volume and value engineering solutions
Build relationship with Architects, consultants, builders, specifiers and other related stakeholders
Coordination with internal departments for design and estimation based on customer`s requirements/consultant`s drawings for project quotation.
Manage the full life cycle of project delivery in conjunction with Project and Technical manager
Ensure efficient customer relations management and customer service
Ensure customer accounts are within credit limits, cash collection and debtor`s management
Monitor competition closely and provide regular reporting with respect to competitor strategy, products and prices
Ensure efficient utilization of workforce, equipment, material and maintain staffing level as per the company standard
Recruit, train and develop sales team and help them achieve sales target in volume and value
Perform any other duty as may be assigned

Qualifications required:

Minimum academic qualification: Technical Graduate in Engineering or Architecture
Qualifications as an added advantage:  Masters in Business Management preferred. Sales and Marketing Diploma is an added advantage
Professional registration:  Affiliation and Registration to Professional  bodies  in Engineering/ Building/Construction Industry

Experience required:

General work experience (years): 8 years in Technical and Commercial Sales
Specific to the position (level/discipline/years): 3 years in Management
Industry:  Building Materials/Steel Industry/Construction

Description

Manage generation of non-conforming products to reduce generation of defective material by implementing inspection and testing programs, upgrading of SOPs and Quality plans, guide quality team to use scientific methods to analyze defects in the product to go to root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive action by appropriately changing the SOPs, Quality plans and... process parameters.
Manage Integrity for testing and classification of raw materials and in-house products into prime products or defective products.
Improve precision of test results through calibration programs, upgrading equipment by regular interaction with equipment suppliers, guide Optimization of process control parameters by experimenting and review of the quality plans.
Provide technical expertise in designing of quality plans and standard operating procedures and upgrading of process capability parameters to improve quality and yield.
Ensure required statutory & regulatory requirements are met as per the current laws and government orders.
Provide technical expertise in procurement of new quality control and laboratory equipment.
Manage customer satisfaction through complaint redress process, benchmark MRM’S products against competitors, providing technical support in developing of new products and product warranties.
Responsible for implementation of ISO 9001:2008 quality Management system.
Ensure the achievement of all KPIs for Quality department, Yield, prime volumes, number of customer complaints.
Identify training needs of the subordinates and organize for training in conjunction with HR Department for SAP, Quality and ISO Management systems.

Requirements
Qualifications required

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Analytical/Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
Postgraduate education in Quality or Operations management will be an added advantage.

Experience required:

10 years of professional experience with at least 5 years in a quality management function in a manufacturing firm.
Preferably Manufacturing experience
Lead Auditor training
Knowledge and use of SAP will be an added advantage.
Experience and knowledge of pertinent legislations, regulations, standards and policies pertaining to the best practices in quality management.
Knowledge and experience in Metal coating process, Cold rolling process, SAP, and ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities 

Maintain electrical systems by ensuring electrical power is available to all equipment, offering engineering support and managing staff.
Maintain current knowledge of maintenance methods and practices, including use of diagnostic equipment and procedures recommended by equipment manufacturer.
Identify gaps in the maintenance processes and implement... strategies to close gaps and to improve equipment reliability, sustainability, availability and reduce maintenance costs.
Ensure the safe, efficient and accurate maintenance of equipment according to maintenance procedures, working instructions and PM schedules.
Ensure effective preventive maintenance programs that will minimize service repairs in the long run, plan and maintain autonomous maintenance.
Ensure proper planning in advance of major & annual shutdowns and resources for the same.
Responsible for managing and completing all maintenance and repair requests from production in a cost effective and timely manner.
Timely documentation and records as required by the business. This includes regular reports for maintenance issues and technical reports.
Ensure compliance with the requirements of health and safety legislation, standards, procedures, and practices.
Conduct regular risk assessments and audits and identify high risk areas and initiate appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
Initiate, participate and implement improvement programs in maintenance.
Drive the RCA methodology for all repetitive problems.
Ensure full Implementation of SAP relevant modules/ activities in the department.
Liaison with OEM for technical support.
Prepare electrical maintenance budget proposals for financial year and make necessary reviews when deemed appropriate in consultation with the Maintenance Manager.
Ensure that fixed and variable costs are monitored, reviewed and controlled as per the budgetary guidelines.

Requirements
Qualifications required:

Minimum BSC In Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Instrumentation &Control Engineering, B.Tech(Electrical/Electronics)
Qualifications as an added advantage: PLC/DRIVE/SCADA Training
Registration with relevant professional body.
Minimum of Five years work experience in Manufacturing Industry
Computer literacy: in all MS office packages, ERP software and Technical drawing software.
