Qualifications

Other Requirements 

Members of the Audit Committee shall, 
Have a thorough understanding of County Assembly Operations, Financial Management and Reporting. 
Be an independence proactive leader with confidence and integrity; 
Be a... highly respectable and experienced person, who possesses strong interpersonal skills and time available to develop and closely monitor the Audit Committee’s Agenda. 
Have a thorough understanding of the Principles and Functions of the County Assembly; and 
Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

Note 

Members of the Audit Committee shall serve on a part-time basis for a period of three years and shall be eligible for reappointment for a further one term only. 
The allowances payable to the Members of the Audit Committee shall be as determined by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission. 
A person shall not be qualified for appointment as a Member of the Audit Committee if the person; 
Is a past or present employee of the County Assembly of Samburu; or 
Has been as an employee or an agent of a Business Organization on which has carried out any business with the County Assembly of Samburu for the last two years. more

Chairperson:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance background with five years’ experience in the Public Sector. Membership to ICPAK and in Good Standing.
