Key Tasks:
Project Execution Planning:

Responsible for the project execution planning of national fixed line projects including the scheduling of project resources required to     meet and exceed project targets.
Responsible for obtaining the project implementation deliverables including order specifications and milestone target dates from    ... Project Manager
Allocation of planned work, together with the TFLS Regional Managers, to appointed contractors/suppliers in accordance with     contractual obligations.
Ensuring the communication plan between the various stakeholders are defined
Where possible, attend project kick-off meeting to clarify complete corporate customer requirements and deliverables pertaining to     fixed line infrastructure including       Fibre, Microwave and Fixed Wireless mediums such as Fixed LTE,5G, etc.  

Project Execution Management:

Accountable for end-to-end implementation of all approved BU orders at a national level.
Accurate issuing of Purchase Requisitions for equipment and / or Services compared against the customer contract (Procurement).
Ensure that FTTx and Microwave transmission links are supplied to EBU and National Wholesale Customers within agreed target dates     and quality standards.
Monitor all output related workflow actions and ensure that they are completed in accordance with the project plan dates.
Monitor all input related workflow actions by contractors and ensure they are completed promptly in accordance with the project     plan dates and contracted SLAs. 
Management of project costs (CAPEX budget)
Project documentation to be maintained. 
Reverse Logistics to be effectively managed e.g. decommissioning of a PTP link where relevant equipment to be placed back into the     warehouse and re-purposed for  re-use.

Project Risk Management:

Proactively identify quality and schedule delivery risks and generate risk mitigation alternates for the Project Manager.
Apply active operational decision-making in the best interests Business Unit Customers

Project Reporting:

Provide weekly project progress reports.
Occasionally provide implementation feedback to Project Manager on ad-hoc basis.
Ensure the supply of accurate and good quality reports.
Provide input to required reports for TFLS Management and Executives (whether internal reporting and / or escalation reports to     Business)

Project Stakeholder Management:

Collaborate and liaise with the other departments and work streams in order to assist in the facilitation of a seamless     integration of all relevant access technologies 
Ensure that suppliers/contractors espouse MTN values.
Attend all meetings involving scope change and communicate impact thereof.
Effective escalations to relevant stakeholders (sales person, line manager, etc.)

Project Close Out:

Attend project close-out meetings to confirm deliverables pertaining to transmission and radio access infrastructure are in     accordance with customer requirements          and deliverables. 
Efficient order close out to ensure soonest possible realisation of revenue.
    Special Projects and Support:
Assist with managing special projects within the Technical Enterprise Project department as and when required.  
Assist head office during tender evaluations.
Assist BUs and head office staff in responding to incoming RFPs.
Assist in the POCs and field trials of new supplier solutions.
Assist Project Managers and Process analysts in process optimisation initiatives.

Qualifications

Education:

Standard 10 (Matric) and N6, S4 or equivalent National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or IT.
Prince2 Practitioner Certification (preferred), PMP or Certificate in Project Management from a recognized institution

Experience:

Minimum of 5 Years experience in the telecommunication industry (preferably in the Radio & Transmission Implementation     environment).
Sound project management experience will be advantageous.

Be accountable for the oversight and approval process of all enhancements to MTN platform.
Utilize data analytics to monitor recharging patterns, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of
recharging services.
Develop and submit reports to facilitate decision making. Report to the Head of Digital Platforms on progress made against measurement metrics
Provide detailed progress reports both at sub-functional and functional level
Assist in the preparation and contribution to the Review and Retrospective Forum meetings and participate in the demonstration of delivered work
and progress made (bi-weekly / weekly)
Assist in the preparation and contribution of key insights for the Consumer online channel in the weekly meetings/forums to facilitate decision

Qualifications

3 year Degree / Diploma in Commerce

Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an area of specialisation with experience in supervising/managing others

Implement an intra-divisional Internal Stakeholder Engagement Strategy which includes but is not limited to the rationale for regular engagements (cross-functional meetings, sessions, and workshops), engagement format, communication plan, implementation plan, monitoring and review plan, performance metrics
Monitor the documentation, development, testing, and launch of partner management processes and systems according to the relevant Policies, Procedures, & Processes Document to exceed targets as specified in the business plan.
Provide accurate, current, data-driven, relevant and understandable analysis, FAQs, information, and reports – including but not limited to competitive intelligence, partner-impacting trends, and weekly partner onboarding reports – as may be required to guide management decisions and support the business planning process.
Monitor competitive intelligence, usage, user experience and perception, and user-impacting trends to guide management decisions and support the business planning process. 
Execute tactics to acquire new (external and internal) partners, grow partner revenues and subscriptions to exceed targets as specified in the business plan.
Monitor partner revenue and subscription performance to confirm the validity of the associated business case as specified in the business plan, if necessary. 
Monitor the design, documentation, development, implementation, testing, and launch of partner processes and systems.
In conjunction with partners, identify new business opportunities such as features, growth areas, markets, and trends.
Build and maintain collaborative, win-win partnerships that drive business growth with external and internal partners.
Develop, review, and update Code of Conduct, FAQs and information packs to assist partners in understanding MTNN’s digital services ecosystem. 
Collaborate with product analysts, managers, and owners to identify their partner management requirements. 
Solicit feedback from partners to continuously improve partner experiences, journeys, and interfaces. 
Monitor and expeditiously resolve complaints related to partner expectations, needs, and priorities.

Education:

A first degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, Social Sciences or any related discipline.
Certification or training in (Agile) Project Management will be an advantage.
Fluent in English.

Experience:
3 - 7 years’ experience including:

Minimum three (3) years' work experience in a small- or medium-sized organization.
Experience in customer service, partner/relationship management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills; Advanced ability to build strong working relationships across the organization, influence. stakeholders, and work as part of a cross-functional team.
Experience in Information Technology, OTT, or telecommunications will be an advantage.

Mission: 

Effectively manage strategic, operational, and compliance risk exposures (internal or external) and ensure that existing internal processes and policies are effective in general and specifically in relation to compliance with laws and regulations across the MTN... footprint.
Implement the internal control framework and policy. Review and assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and propose improvements.
Transition the team to an internal control focus in addition to their operational compliance responsibilities.

Description: 

Implement the MTNN internal control framework across the organization and drive continuous improvement in operational processes and internal control design.
Ensure effective development and management of local PPPs (policies, processes, and procedures) and drive the adoption or localization of Group policies. Identify relevant controls from PPPs and ensure implementation. Monitor compliance with PPPs and regulatory requirements.
Drive sustenance of the ISO 37301:2021 certification for the Compliance Management System.
Oversee the control self-assessment (CSA) process, ensuring that it is completed timely and that remedial plans for controls are identified, documented, and implemented.
Carry out control testing to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, document the work carried out, and propose improvements for control gaps identified.
Act as the subject matter expert in respect of controls and provide training and guidance to employees on internal control procedures.
Collaborate with other assurance providers to deliver combined assurance to the business and ensure internal controls are embedded in business processes. Review internal audit and investigation reports to monitor remediation of identified control weaknesses and recommend corrective actions.
Reporting: Document the outcomes of all control monitoring and testing activities and provide periodic reports to Management and the Board. Develop and maintain clear and concise risk and control assessment documentation.
Stay abreast of all relevant compliance and regulatory requirements within the telecommunications industry, and stay current on evolving trends in internal control guidance and practice.
Partner with the MTNN leadership team to drive awareness of expected behaviors and the impact of non-compliance on bottom-line results and company image and reputation.
Serve as a confidential point of contact for employees to communicate with management, seek clarification on issues or dilemmas, or report irregularities.
Coach and train the team to ensure understanding of the objectives and goals of the department, awareness of set targets and requirements, and regular review of their training needs.
Review the performance of individual team members and complete appraisals in accordance with the employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules.

Education: 

First degree in any relevant numerate discipline
MBA or Senior Management Program in a recognized business school would be an added advantage.

Experience: 
6–13 years’ experience, which includes:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in operational compliance and/or internal control, with experience in supervising or managing others, including performance management.
