A Master Automotive Technician :
Job Duties:
1. Diagnosis and repairing of complex vehicle problems.
2.Overseeing and signing off on repairs completed by other technicians.
3.Training new technicians.
4. Communicating with clients and providing customer service.
5. Using advanced diagnostic tools and equiptment .

Qualified:
ASE Certificates:
Experience: 4-10 years experience working in... the automotive field, allowing to develop skills and knowledge.
Master Technician status by passing all the required tests for a spcific seriess, such as A1-A8 for light vehicle or T2-T8 for medium/heavy trucks.
Higher-Level Position:
Master techincians position: expertise and advanced capabilities.

Core responsibilities:
1. Diagnosis vehicle problems using experience, test driving and working with specialized computers that communicate with vehicle electronics.
2. Repair: performinig necessary repairs and part replacement
3. Maintenance: Carrying out routin maintenance procefures to ensure vehicle longevity.
4. Inspection: inspecting vehicles for damange and potential issues.
5. Communication: Explaining automotive problems and repairs to clients.
6. Performing required inspections and manufacturer-recommended preventative maintenance, such as oil changes, tire rotations, turn-up, fluid level checks and following a servie checlist at specified mileage intervals.
7. Working with speciallized tools and equipment to repair or replace broken parts. They may use a lift to raise the vehicle to work unerneath it, pneumatic air tools for loosening and tighning of parts, a lathe for brake rotors and hand wrenches to remove parts.
8. Interpreting vehicle diagnostic codes to assess errors and causes of vehicle breakdown and planning how to proceed with the repair.
