The overall purpose of the position is to ensure effective coordination and support of all program activities. Hierarchically, the Senior PPM Associate will report to the Senior Programme Officer in Cross River State.


Job Description


Coordinate all PPM activities to ensure the finding of missing TB cases and linkage to treatment in the state.
Track the activities... of LGA PPM coordinators and report promptly to the SPO and TB advisor.
Ensure all reports from the PPM coordinators are collated in line with project timelines and shared with the SPO/M/E officer.



Review incentive documents from the PPM coordinators, PMVs, and PFP and recommend payments within stipulated timelines.



Conduct regular mentoring and site support visits for private-profit facilities and other engaged entities to support the LGA PPM coordinators.
Participate in LGA PPM review meetings and provide regular updates to the SPO.
Conduct a periodical review of the functionality of all engaged entities and provide feedback to the PPM coordinators to improve performance.
In conjunction with the PPM coordinator, conduct a periodic review of the hub and spokes mapping for updates as may be necessary.
Track PPM performance in the state against set target and ensure cascade losses and gaps are promptly addressed
Work with the state PPM focal persons or M/E officers to ensure all PPM contributions to the program are properly reported.
Follow up with an electronic update of all PPM data by key responsible personnel.
Perform any other duty assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities


Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate internal and external financial reports, including monthly and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with all Tax regulations, and prompt remittance of all classes of deducted Tax based on their respective due date to the tax authorities.
Ensure timely remittance of taxes, pension contributions, and other statutory deductions.
Verify the accounting (description, accounting codes, analytical codes, monthly exchange rate, etc.) of financial transactions.

The Finance Unit is responsible for the timely, complete and accurate registration of transactions in the accounting system of KNCV Nigeria and related legal entities and for reporting to internal and external stakeholders. In collaboration with the Institute of Human Virology (IHVN) as the Principal Recipient (PR), KNCV is implementing the Global Fund Public-Private Mix grant; Scaling up services for TB Prevention and Control in the 5 states of Benue, Akwa Ibom, Plateau, Rivers and Cross River.
This will involve engaging primarily with the formal and informal private health sector in these states to... find and treat missing persons with TB disease and contribute toward the National TB, Leprosy, and Buruli Ulcer Control Program’s (NTBLCP) TB treatment coverage targets.
The overarching strategic objectives of the PPM grant include improving access to quality patient-centered care for TB, TB/HIV, and drug-resistant TB services; preventing transmission and disease progression; and to strengthen TB platforms in the private sector. 

Position in the Organization

The Program Assistant will work directly with the private health facilities in the state to deliver on key project objectives of the PPM grant.
He/she will ensure the implementation of the GF PPM TB project, including monitoring progress against planned activities, critical milestones, and targets as well as providing support and guidance to program counterparts to ensure that activities are implemented in line with GF policies and procedures to the highest possible quality.

Duties and Responsibilities

Support the implementation of all components of the GF PPM grant in the state
Facilitate engagement of private Health facilities and other relevant stakeholders for the implementation of the PPM grant
Organize & conduct regular data-driven health facility supervision to ensure quality TB, TB/HIV, DR-TB surveillance, and service delivery
Provide regular technical support and supervision to field personnel, including private health sector care providers, Linkage Coordinators, sample movers, and other related staff providing services along the TB service delivery cascade
Support facilities to ensure effective linkages for TB clinical cascade as well as integration with allied interventions including HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment
Work with relevant state staff to disseminate guidelines, tools, and procedures that will support the achievement of quality service delivery
Contribute to the development of program strategies, subproject documents, work plans, and budgets and ensure key performance indicators are met in line with the PPM strategy
Contribute to the development of lessons learned from programs and projects related to TB and TB/HIV program interventions and apply these lessons to modify existing programs and improve the design of new programs
Represent KNCV to donors and government officials on issues of the PPM TB grant
Assist in strengthening a system of reporting on program progress against stated objectives and monitoring and evaluation frameworks
Assist in the data collection, collation, validation, and reporting according to the KNCV GF M&E plan.
Submit monthly/quarterly state progress reports to the country office.

KNCV since 2000 has implemented successive 5-year circles of USAID-funded flagship TB projects and is presently implementing USAID TB LON 1 & 2 projects across 14 states in Nigeria.
Through President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief funding (PEPFAR), KNCV Nigeria/ TB CARE I project provided and expanded TB/HIV services across 35 of 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory... (FCT).
KNCV TB Foundation Nigeria is also implementing the STOP TB Partnership / UNOPS-funded TB Connectivity project across 14 states in Nigeria in collaboration with the NTBLCP. Furthermore, KNCV TB Foundation Nigeria provides technical assistance towards community and facility TB case finding, linkage, and treatment across Lagos, Edo, and Bayelsa states as a member of the USAID Cluster 6 “HALG_ACE Consortium”.

Purpose of the job

The PPM Coordinator is expected to provide technical and programmatic leadership to the implementation for the GF PPM TB grant.
The PPM Coordinator will be responsible for the overall implementation of the GF PPM TB project as well as provide overarching management responsibilities such as governance, HR, and security.

Responsibilities

As PPM Coordinator, you will:

Coordinate the implementation of the Global fund PPM TB grant in the focused states of Akwa Ibom, Benue, Cross River, Plateau and Rivers states.
Develop implementation plans and oversee the implementation of integrated TB, TB/HV and other medical services at facility level and community level with focus on the private sector in the supported states.
Provide technical assistance on rapid assessments, situational analysis, evaluations and other related activities with focus on the PPM TB in Global fund supported States.
Lead effort in the engagement of key state level stakeholders, state TB programs, Ministry of health and Local government on the implementation of the PPM activities.
Lead effort in the engagement of key private sector stakeholders, Associations and other professional bodies involved in the implementation of the public private Mix TB activities.
Provide technical guidance on training and capacity building in the focused states in the implementation of the GF PPM grant.
Other duties as assigned.

Overarching Management:

Ensure proper execution of the KNCV Country Office manual and HRM manual;

Who we are looking for?

Education:

This project has the primary objective of accelerating widespread and equitable access to and... delivery of safe and effective COVID-19 vaccination to unvaccinated individuals at community and facility level in the eleven selected USAID TB LON supported states (Anambra, Bauchi, Taraba, Cross River, Kano, Imo, Kaduna, Delta, Rivers & Benue) in Nigeria, by supporting the NPHCDA’s SCALES Strategy.

Position in the organization

The State Coordinator will support and ensure widespread and equitable access to and delivery of safe and effective COVID-19 vaccinations to unvaccinated individuals at community and facility level; support health system strengthening and integration of services at supported service-delivery points in selected USAID TB LON supported states in Nigeria, by supporting the NPHCDA’s SCALES strategy.

Responsibilities

Advocate and engage key stakeholders; the SPHCDA , STBLCP and other key actors (state and LGA level) in COVID-19 vaccine program
Conduct situation assessment working with the SPHCDA to determine the extent of need /gaps of logistics; cold chain and other supportive structures (e.g., human resources and power) for routine vaccine programme at the LGA and community level.
Support continuous sensitization and awareness creation at LGA, ward and community levels through traditional and religious structures, especially at the community levels with gatekeepers to ensure social mobilization, community acceptance of the intervention and, to foster accountability and public discourse on enabling an environment for equitable COVID-19 vaccine access and acceptability at community levels
Strengthen the COVID vaccination systems already supported by PSM for monitoring and availability of COVID-19 vaccines to LGA stores, with weekly updates to ensure stock-outs or unavailability are mitigated.
Support distribution of COVID-19 consumables (anaphylaxis kits, paper towels, gloves, cool boxes, face visors, face masks, hand wash, hand sanitizers, syringes, gauze/alcohol pads, waste bags, etc to LGA stores.
Support capacity-building of community healthcare workers on RISK COMMUNICATION AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT (RCCE) to integrate COVID risk communication and vaccine promotion messages
Ensure deployment of ‘WOW Keke’ complemented by portable digital X-ray machine (DLB) and Truenat or TB Lamp to distant and hard-to-reach communities to provide integrated health services with COVID-19 vaccination and other reasonable medical concerns.
Ensure distribution of relevant and culturally acceptable IEC materials and communication tools
Strengthen recording and reporting tools and daily monitoring of activities, adverse events following immunization (AEFI) and provision of guidance at state immunization command centers
Coordinate other support as well as other state level engaged consultants on the project
Ensure monthly conduct of joint supervision, monitoring and evaluation with the TB program and other key stakeholders
Any other duties as assigned.

Position in the organization

The Zonal Coordinators will support and ensure widespread and equitable access to and delivery of safe and effective COVID-19 vaccinations to unvaccinated individuals at community and facility level; support integration of services at supported service-delivery points, by supporting the PHCDA’s SCALES strategy within a given LGA.

Responsibilities

Support and build capacity of community health extension workers engaged as vaccinators as well as staff of the PHCDA and Health units at the LGA and assigned per cluster of LGA wards closely work with the TB program in community health outreach programs; conduct house to house visits to offer vaccination while also screening for TB and collecting sputum samples for TB diagnosis.
Capacity-building of community healthcare workers on RCCE to integrate COVID risk communication and vaccine promotion messages during their community-based interventions.
Train network of already trusted formal and informal TB community influencers/structures such as Patent Medicine Vendors, community pharmacists, traditional healers, and community extension health workers on interpersonal skills to address vaccine hesitancy, COVID-19 misconceptions and promote vaccination.
Ensure one stop shop access through integrated health services with COVID-19 vaccination and other reasonable medical concerns and include access to portable digital X-ray machine (DLB) and Truenat or TB Lamp device, so that all the people who come out for TB screening will also access COVID-19 vaccines as well as other health screening services (providing routine drugs and screening for chronic illness (Hypertension and Diabetes)
Distribute relevant and culturally acceptable IEC materials and communication tools for schools within the communities, health facilities, religious centers, etc. Enlighten and mobilize groups such as market women, youth groups, old student groups and secondary school students on the importance of taking the COVID-19 vaccines
Distribute recording and reporting tools for daily monitoring of activities, adverse events following immunization (AEFI) and provide guidance at LGA immunization command centers
Conduct joint monthly supervision, monitoring and evaluation with the TB program and other key stakeholders.

Who are we looking for?

Education:

Minimum of a Degree in Health Sciences. Additional advantage includes Master’s degree in Public health or other relevant Public Health disciplines.

Knowledge / Experience:

Possess strong management, interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills
At least 3 years’ experience working with: HIV & TB or health prevention program at various levels
Experience with USAID or UN projects or any development partner is an advantage.

Behavioral competencies and skills:

Strong coordination, planning, and supervisory skills.
Competent with operational plan development, implementation, and evaluation of results.
Comfortable planning and delivering multiple activities under pressure to strict deadlines and high levels of precision.
Self-motivated with a strong ability to identify and develop relevant areas of work.
Able to communicate complex issues in a concise, accessible and engaging manner.
Proven working knowledge and fluency in written and oral English required.

Job Description

The Project Driver is expected to support project logistics. The Project Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe logistics of staff and project commodities.
Hierarchically, the Project Driver reports to the Central Project Coordinator.

Purpose of the position

The driver is expected to support project logistics.

Responsibilities

As a Project Driver you... will:

Convey project staff to their destinations within/outside the primary project location.
Daily inspection of the vehicle.
Always keep the vehicle clean.
Keep a logbook.
Register fuel purchase and consumption in the logbook and on purchase receipts.
Maintain office vehicle and report to the Central Coordinator.
Submit a monthly car maintenance report to the Admin Manager.
Update vehicle particulars.
Collect/drop visitors from/at the airport.
Ensure the safety of office staff/consultants (and persons traveling for and on behalf of KNCV) while traveling with the official vehicle.
Perform other additional duties as assigned

Who are we looking for?

At least 3 years of experience in a similar job
Good organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills
Must be patient, meticulous, and have a logical mind
Capable of working well under pressure
