The MEAL Officer is a TPO Uganda field-based position.  The position   is attached to one or multiple projects and is responsible for developing, managing   and overseeing the project-based M&E system, data collection, analysis   and reporting, data management and quality   assurance   and training   and capacity building in M&E. The MEAL Officer will develop   and manage   a functional   database   with   up-to-date   information for reporting   and decision   making.  The staff will be responsible for all project   related   MEAL functions, providing   technical   MEAL leadership   while working   closely with fellow   project staff and coordination with the MEAL Manager.  S/he will be responsible for identifying   project-based MEL capacity gaps and work with the MEAL Manager to build the capacity of staff in all MEL related work.  S/he will also ensure quality data collected   and is entered timely into the different databases being reported to by the MEAL Officer.
