Job Purpose
The job holder is responsible for managing of maintenance and updating drawing records for the Authority
Job Description

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

Preparing and updating drawing records;
Preparing work plans and programs;
Preparing and updating of drawing records;
Collecting and collating data for feasibility studies and designs for roads;
Preparing specifications for works to be contracted out; and
Preparing design as built and survey drawing for scanning, archiving and geo-referencing.

 Job Specifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

Diploma/Higher Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Cartography, Building, and Civil Engineering or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Technician membership with the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK), (Land Surveyors Chapter);
Proficiency in computer applications and
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

Key Competencies and Skills

Sound knowledge on Land related laws;
Map design and production skills
Map symbolization and geo-visualization;
Advanced Knowledge of Spatial data collection and evaluation;
Knowledge of mapping technologies;
Knowledge of spatial data formats and standards;
AutoCAD & GIS software experience;
Geospatial data cataloguing;
Computing skills;
Analytical skills.
Working under pressure;
Interpersonal skills.
