Job Description:
Our client, a multi specialist hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Doctor to join our healthcare team in Victoria Island, Lagos. As a Medical Doctor, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality medical care to patients, contributing to their health and well-being.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough medical assessments, including patient history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests, to accurately diagnose medical conditions.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients based on diagnosis, medical history, and evidence-based medicine principles.
Provide compassionate and comprehensive medical care to patients across a wide range of ages and backgrounds, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments, and monitor patient response and progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals, to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote health and wellness.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, treatment plans, and progress notes, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Adhere to ethical and professional standards of medical practice, including patient confidentiality, informed consent, and respect for patient autonomy.
Stay abreast of advances in medical science, technology, and treatment modalities through continuing education and professional development activities.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits to enhance patient safety, satisfaction, and outcomes.
Requirements:
Medical degree from a recognized institution.
Minimum of 3-5years clinical experience working as a Medical Doctor.
Strong clinical skills, including proficiency in medical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across various medical specialties.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
Commitment to providing patient-centered care with empathy, compassion, and respect for diversity.
Willingness to adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards to ensure the delivery of safe and effective healthcare services.
