TEMPORARY ASSISTANT – ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE – 1 POSITION

Contract Period: Six Months Fixed Term Contract
Reporting to the Accountant, the selected candidate will be responsible for;

Timely settlement of suppliers invoices while maintaining accuracy;
Reconciliation of supplier ledgers, raising of payment vouchers (PVs);
Settlement of statutory payments (NSSF, NHIF, Staff Pension etc)
Settlement of staff (and Board|) imprests and claims for training and other assignments;
Assisting in preparation of the schedules for the audit of the FY 2022/2023;
Preparation of daily cash reports and weekly cashflow reports;
Assisting in preparing withholding taxes for prompt filing in compliance with the Finance Act of 2023;
Proper filing of payment records including PV files and cheques register;
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor of Commerce- Finance, Economics, Accounting, or any business-related degree
Professional courses - CPA Part I 
Basic IT and knowledge of automated Accounting systems will be an added advantage.
