About the role
SunCulture is seeking a skilled and motivated BI Analyst to join our current data team. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing business intelligence (BI) initiatives, as well as managing sales,PayG and operations data and reports, including commissions. The Data Associate will play a crucial part in leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making and optimize operational efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Business Intelligence (BI):
Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions to provide actionable insights into sales and portfolio performance, market trends, and customer behavior.
Create visually compelling dashboards and reports to communicate key metrics and KPIs to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Sales, Credit Portfolio and Operations Data Analysis:
Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for revenue growth, optimize pricing strategies, inform team productivity, and enhance customer segmentation.
Monitor operational metrics related to product distribution, inventory management, and supply chain logistics to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
Calculate and track sales commissions and bonuses for field agents and sales representatives, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payments.
Analyze and manage credit portfolio data to assess risk, optimize loan performance, and inform strategies for credit management and collections.
Data Management:
Collect, organize, and maintain large datasets from various sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
Develop and implement data management processes and protocols to streamline data capture, storage, and retrieval.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and establish data governance standards.
Data Governance and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards, such as GDPR and CCPA, by implementing appropriate data security measures and access controls.
Establish data quality standards and protocols to uphold the integrity and reliability of our data assets.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor adherence to data governance policies and address any identified issues or risks.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2+ Years experience in dealing with and reporting using systems and data analytics tools and software such as PowerBI
Proven experience in data management, business intelligence, and data analysis, preferably in the agriculture or renewable energy sector.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages commonly used for data manipulation and analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders across different functional areas.
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
Familiarity with ETL tools and No sql databases will be an added advantage.
Understanding of data privacy and security principles, with experience implementing data governance frameworks.
Strong presentation skills – the ability to present findings, along with forecasts and projections, to executives and management personnel
Comfortable with ambiguity and experience working in a dynamic environment
Be organized, have great time management skills, and meet deadlines set.
