Key Responsibilities

Facilitate awareness creation and sensitization of communities in Peace Building
Build capacity through training and mentorship on the collection of conflict-relevant data, conflict analysis and the design and implementation of responses to prevent violence
Participate in staff devotions
Promote good stewardship and high accountability through efficient and economical utilization of resources in the project 
Track and monitor project progress against set objectives, timeline and budget.
Develop regular monthly, quarterly and annual Peace Building reports
Facilitate communities to fully participate in project activities for enhanced community ownership and sustainability of the Peace Building program through sports, cultural events
Perform any other responsibilities that may be assigned by your supervisor from time to time

Key Requirements

Diploma or a degree in Peace-Building, Sociology, International Relations, Conflict studies, or other related fields.
3 years of field experience working with Communities in Peace project management in an NGO context.
Refined training and facilitation skills, especially in cross-cultural urban environments; 
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to work under minimal supervision; 
Skills in community mobilization, training, and team-building; 
Highly organized, efficient, and able to meet deadlines; 
Proficient in MS Word, Microsoft Excel, and email/internet programs; and must have excellent oral and written communication skills. 
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Be a Christian
General understanding of project management and MEAL techniques. 
Ability to work in and contribute to a team 
Ability to work with different partners, local authorities, local organizations and NGOs, to develop and maintain positive relationships.
