Role Summary:
The Production/Plant Supervisor position is a leadership position saddled with the responsibility of coordinating the day-to-day operation of the factory. The candidate will play-a-key role in monitoring production activities, facility management and maintenance, and supervising staff.
The production supervisor shall be responsible for all aspects of solar plant operations, including achieving production targets, and personnel safety, overseeing daily work activities, reviewing work schedules, scheduling maintenance, ensuring product availability, training all production workers, and communicating with the management team.
In addition, the production/plant supervisor is responsible for establishing factory and individual goals and acts as a role model to ensure all procedures are followed as required.
Accountabilities:
Monitoring & Supervision
Ensure the smooth-running process of the production activities by providing work guidance.
Generate and develop ideas to enhance production processes and procedures to achieve production targets and goals.
Leads staff to complete assigned duties, which include scheduling work, creating work assignments, managing performance, and recommending actions.
Set daily/weekly/monthly production objectives and communicate them to employees.
Ensure work/production completion based on the company’s approved standards and procedures.
Monitor and improve production processes to ensure maximum production output and cost efficiency.
Responsible for all Quality Control activity on site, performing Quality Control Assessments of work by Technicians and subcontractors.
Responsible for data collection, work order processing, and summary reports.
Responsible for providing general supervision & development of all employees at the plant.
Use technical knowledge and experience to optimize production/plant performance.
Maintenance & Repairs
Ensure that the production operations are smooth and easy by monitoring and reporting on equipment performance, maintenance needs, and employee performance.
Supervise the maintenance and repair of machines, buildings, and equipment, including hiring contractors for major maintenance projects.
Monitor equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working order by scheduling regular maintenance.
Manage tool and part inventories.
Create and complete Work Orders, Service Reports, and Purchase Order Submission.
Reporting
Communicate daily activities to the Senior Management through daily, weekly, and monthly reports as needed.
Safety & Compliance
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by enforcing safety policies and recommending changes to meet safety standards in line with state and federal laws.
Inspects, identify, and assists in correcting unsafe work conditions, ensure safety procedures are followed, and report workplace incidents appropriately.
Investigate accidents and injuries and prepare reports of findings.
Ensure strict adherence to the company’s approved PPEs and general safety wears.
