Conduct a detailed feasibility study, including field investigations and comprehensive analyses of technical, economic/financial, environmental, social, legal, and management options to assess the feasibility of water resource potentials.
Assess the condition of existing water sources to determine their yields, quality, and suitability for motorization, and conduct hydrogeological investigations for new potential sites in areas without existing sources.
Perform borehole siting, including reconnaissance surveys, hydrogeological investigations, and borehole design.
Develop detailed engineering designs for piped water supply systems in the districts of Moroto, Kaabong, and Kotido.
Create technical specifications and scope of works for proposed drilling contracts and develop bills of quantities (BOQs).
Participate in the independent evaluation process during the procurement of borehole drilling and construction services, when requested.
Supervise borehole construction contracts in conjunction with UNDP and District officials, ensuring skills transfer while adhering to statutory requirements and government regulations.
Oversee and ensure the quality of construction activities.
Provide technical support and advice for water construction activities in UNDP-supported projects within the Karamoja region.
