Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Business Systems Analyst to support the optimization and management of Penda Health’s IT systems and processes. In this role, you will work closely with senior team members to analyze business needs, recommend technological solutions, and assist with the implementation of innovative healthcare IT initiatives. You will also engage with front line staff to understand their challenges, dig deep into existing systems to improve them, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:

Process Improvement: Assist in gathering and documenting requirements, creating process models, and participating in user feedback sessions to streamline business processes.
System Monitoring & Support: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support for software applications, particularly EMR and ERP systems.
User Training & Documentation: Help develop user guides, train staff on new features, and ensure smooth adoption of system updates and enhancements.
Vendor Coordination & Testing: Work with external vendors on application updates and patches, and assist in testing new features for seamless implementation.
Data Integrity & Automation: Support data accuracy, troubleshoot sync issues, and assist in automating workflows to improve reporting and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in application/software support , business analysis, ideally within a healthcare setting.
Strong understanding of EMR and ERP systems.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficiency in SQL and database management.
Familiarity with IT service management concepts and system integration techniques (APIs).
Willingness to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment.
