Responsibilities

Manage, direct, and guide the implementation of an HSSE Control Framework compliant HSE Management System (HSE-MS), an ISO 14001 certified Environmental Management System (EMS) as part of the project’s overall HSE-MS, to ensure that a consistent and standardized approach is applied by the project in achieving personal safety, process safety, and environmental objectives, whilst developing and operationalizing all associated processes.
Manage, test and deploy all behavioral safety programs, training and change management packages required to operationalize HSE Critical Processes and SSoW on the project, ensuring awareness of expected behaviors to entrench best practice HSE culture, save lives and prevent major accidents.
Manage, implement, and maintain the framework that supports the integrity of all NLNG’s Major Accident Hazard (MAH) barriers continuity on the project.
Manage, implement, and maintain the framework and tools and techniques for Contractor HSE Management on the project, supporting project team members for capability assessment and banding of the contractor to ensure HSE risks associated with contracted activities are effectively managed to improve HSE culture, save lives and prevent major accidents.
Implement NLNG’s process for managing HSE risks, ensuring that all project activity risks are identified, analyzed, and documented to demonstrate they are managed to As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP) through the Hazard & Effect Management Process (HEMP) to consistently assure that project’s HSE management is focused on preventing, controlling and mitigating major accident hazards.

Requirements

A University degree preferably in Engineering, Sciences or Physical Sciences
Minimum of 5 – 7 years post-graduate working experience, out of which a minimum of 3 years should have been spent in a similar position in a reputable organization preferably in the Oil & Gas Industry.
