Key Responsibilities:

Obtaining informed consent and enrolment of participants into study;
Explaining study procedures to eligible participants;
Obtains medical history and performs physical examination;
Offers individual, group and family counseling to participants and patients;
Confirms eligibility for all study participants;
Conducts protocol specific tests and procedures;
Providing project management team with regular feedback on participant recruitment;
Do HIV counseling, testing and laboratory results interpretation;
Verify quality of data by comparing abstracted data to source documents;
Administer the oral cholera vaccine and perform phlebotomy;
Record any adverse events and notify the lead clinician of the same as per protocol;
Performs other duties as may be assigned

Vacancy Requirements:

Must have a Diploma in Nursing (KRN/KRCHN);    Mandatory
At least 3 years professional experience in epidemiological research relevant to the transmission and/or control of tropical infectious diseases;    Mandatory
Previous working experience in a multi-disciplinary team including with Ministry of health teams and community health worker teams;    Mandatory
Strong hands-on experience with current methods of epidemiology surveillance; having worked in a multidisciplinary, multi-site project will be an added advantage;    Added Advantage
Must be registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya    Mandatory
