Job Summary:
The Welder will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and combining materials to create structures or components according to technical drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of welding techniques, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to determine specifications.
Perform MIG, TIG or stick welding processes to join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials.
Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools.
Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure project specifications are met.
Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Troubleshoot issues and make adjustments as necessary to produce high-quality welds.
Requirements
Diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in welding preferred.
Proven experience as a welder, with proficiency in MIG, TIG or stick welding.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform welding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various positions.
