Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Spare Part Analyst to join our team.
The Spare Part Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and managing the spare parts inventory for our company.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar field or industry and hold an HND/BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

Analyze the spare parts inventory and identify critical parts for various equipment and machinery.
Develop and maintain an accurate database of spare parts, including part numbers, descriptions, and stock levels.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine appropriate inventory levels based on demand, lead time, and equipment downtime.
Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment orders to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and secure timely delivery of spare parts.
Conduct regular audits of the spare parts inventory to ensure accuracy and identify obsolete or excess stock for disposal.
Analyze data and generate reports on inventory performance, including stock accuracy, turnover rates, and cost analysis.
Implement and improve inventory management processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in spare parts management to recommend best practices.

Requirements

HND / BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar field or industry, preferably as a Spare Part Analyst or in a related role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Excellent knowledge of spare parts management principles, inventory control, and supply chain management.
Proficient in using inventory management software and MS Office tools, particularly Excel for data analysis.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and vendors.
Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining inventory records and conducting audits.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
