Job Function
• Under the Head of Section, successful applicants will assist duty officers in their various positions.
Job Description
Applicant will:
• Assist in monitoring incoming messages on a specialized network • Assist in the reception, processing and distribution of data including Geo information and surveyed data • Assist in distribution of data and the generation of statistical reports to both national and international agencies • Provide support for the officer on duty in the discharge of his/her duties • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by a superior
Qualification Required & Experience
Applicant must:
• Possess a minimum of Bachelor's degree from a recognized University with background in Geographic information systems (covering areas such as cartography, Surveying and/or Spatial Data Management), Computer Science Engineering (preferably Aerospace, Geodetic, Geomatic, Computer Information Technology/Information Systems, knowledge in French is an added advantage • 1 year post National Service experience in the above fields • Applicants for selection shall pass an aptitude tests and oral interviews
Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude
The applicant must:
• Must be versatile and be able to adapt and adjust to new changes and requirements, including specialised software • Possess strong communication skills (oral and written) • Must possess interpersonal skills and be an effective as well as efficient team player • Possess good working knowledge in computer software particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook • Must be prepared to work in the shift environment including day, night, weekend and public holidays • Must be prepared to work outside of Accra • Age: Not more than 25 years at the time of the deadline for submission of the application

• Must be Service-oriented and a team play with good communication skills • Must work with minimum supervision • Must pay attention to detail and accuracy • Must have the ability to stay calm under pressure and be stress resistant • Be declared free of psycho-active substances when medically examined • Must have ability to think fast, make good decisions, and be good at multi-tasking
