Job objective
We are looking for a skilled ICT Officer to manage our company's information and communication technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in IT systems and networks, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to ensuring the reliability and security of our ICT environment. Their roles include tasks such as monitoring system performance, troubleshooting technical issues, managing IT resources, implementing IT policies and procedures, and ensuring the availability and reliability of IT services to meet business needs.
Your tasks and responsibilities

Designing and maintaining software systems.
Evaluating and testing new software programs.
Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard critical data and systems.
Provide technical support and assistance to end users, resolving hardware and software issues and answering technical queries.
Monitor and enforce compliance with ICT policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and projects that require ICT expertise.
Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support for critical ICT issues and emergencies as needed.
Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility.
Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
Capacity Building to staff; Trainings, Sensitization and awareness of various applications and software, both inhouse and externally developed.
Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC).
Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions.
Any other duty as administered to by the Head of ICT.

Your profile

Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Proven experience in ICT support and administration, with a strong technical background in IT systems and networks.
Solid understanding of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.
Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software components, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.
Familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment.
Exposure to working in a diverse cultural environment.
Able to handle confidential information with discretion and demonstrate the highest level of professionalism.
Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
High moral standing with impeccable integrity.
Report writing skills.
