JOB PURPOSE
The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be in charge of the day to day operations of the Sacco and provide strategic leadership across all functions of the Sacco. 
JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Developing and implementing HR policies and practices that are compliant with the relevant Labour Laws;
Developing and implementing Sacco structures, operating systems, processes, and procedures aimed at ensuring effective and efficient resource management, service delivery and good governance of the Sacco;
Supporting the overall performance of the Sacco through effective and efficient planning, coordination, administration, monitoring and evaluation of its core activities, financial records and management, investment strategies, budgetary allocation and provision of periodic reports to the CEO;
Leading in the strategic data analysis and research to aid in decision making;
Evaluating business strategies and activities on a continuous basis to ensure maximum impact in a proactive manner by identifying appropriate alternatives;
To ensure consistent compliance with all statutory, legal and regulatory requirements of the Sacco i.e. Cooperative Societies Act, Sacco Societies Act, Rules and Regulations and advise the CEO; 
Coordinating and aligning departmental objectives to the overall organizational strategies;
Developing a risk compliance and governance framework across the Sacco;
Networking strategically within and outside the sector with the aim of influencing national policy and programs that impact various stakeholders and partners of the Society;
Supporting the CEO in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with the diverse range of internal and external stakeholders; and
Performing any other relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent from a recognized university. 
Master’s Degree will be an added advantage;
Must be Certified Public Accountant Kenya (CPAK) and a member of a relevant professional body i.e. Institute of Certified Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK); Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM); Kenya Society of Professional Co-operators (KSPC);
Ten (10) years relevant working experience in a Financial institution with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a senior management position.
