Description

We are looking for friendly waitrons (Waiter/ Waitress)to assist customers by providing menus and information about specials, taking food orders, and ensuring that orders are received by kitchen staff and prepared according to the customer's specifications
The Waitron also check in with customers to find out if they are happy with their service and meals.

Responsibilities

Provide customers with menus.
Take customer orders and relay this to the kitchen.
Serve food and beverages to customers.
Listen to any complaints that patrons have and address them appropriately.
Prepare bills and process payments.
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
Informs guests about the special items for the day and menu changes if any, using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
Take food and beverage orders and obtain revenues, issue receipts, accept payments, return the change etc. from the guest using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Ensuring to enter the special requirements made by the guest while ordering the food. Eg: No Garlic, less spicy etc, without egg etc.
Always respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
Take ownership of guest request and follow up guests incidences.
Possess adequate knowledge of basic cashiering procedures like handling money, processing credit and debit cards, making change and processing gift certificates, cards and vouchers.
Mix and garnish beverages according to recipe and portion control standards.
Good knowledge of wine selection, wine service and Beer service.
Ensuring that the bar and lounge stations are fully stocked, clean and tidy at all times.
Establish rapport with guests to build loyal and satisfied customers.
Ensure knowledge of menu and restaurant promotions and any special offers.
Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
Filling in for absent staff as needed
Pick-up food orders from kitchen and communicate to the chef regarding any special preferences or allergy.
Replenish beverages and ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.
Be responsible for billing and collecting feedback from the guest.
Clear tables and prepare for service by polishing cutlery, glassware and crockery, etc.
Complete closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas.
Return all equipment to proper locations, locking refrigerators, restocking items, turning off lights, locking doors and completing bar closing checklist.
Stock and maintain the bar and restaurant with all the required supplies and inventory (e.g. beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice cubes etc.)
Always take responsibility for ensuring a positive guest experience.
Attend daily briefings from management who will explain any special requirements for service.

Requirements

OND / NCE / HND in any relevant discipline
2-5 years proven experience in the hospitality industry is mandatory
Certification is a plus
Endurance to stand and walk for long hours.
