The Grant Manager will also provide key support to the GPP team by ensuring the integrity of data in multiple grants and contracts database(s), data analysis, and timely reporting on active projects to division leadership and CI leadership. This position reports to the US-based Vice President of the Grants Management & Delivery team.  This position does not manage staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee a portfolio of 15-20 active public projects (funded up to $10,000,000) from a variety of donors, with a focus on European donors.
Lead project-related communication between CI and donors during the project lifecycle. Manage correspondence with donors regarding implementation, audits, and reporting.
Organize and manage the project reporting process to ensure CI delivers on all reporting commitments to the donor. Monitor reporting schedules and assist field teams in meeting deadlines. Submit technical and financial reports to donors.
Review and edit interim and final reports, budget narratives, and annual work plans submitted by CI, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
Assess technical inputs in reports (including Performance Indicators, Key Activities, Accomplishments, Staffing Updates, Gender/DEI Updates, Communications, and Project Challenges) to meet requirements for content and format. Ensure inputs are aligned to goals and objectives outlined in donor agreements and contracts.
Collaborate with CI’s Awards Management Services (AMS) and Grants and Contracting Unit (GCU) on financial reports to donors.
Ensure all relevant information about donors within Account Lead portfolios is entered and updated in internal databases such as Raiser's Edge, on a weekly basis.
Organize and lead kick-off and close-out meetings for active grants and contracts, including support on project close-out and internal data management.
Advise Project Leads and Project Finance Leads on donor stewardship throughout the course of the grant or contract to address donor needs.  Strategize with donor and field teams to overcome challenges in project implementation.
In collaboration with PDM (Project Delivery & Monitoring), ensure implementation teams are reasonably equipped with internal resources and support to meet project deliverables.
Assess and approve amendments to Agreements for active projects (change in project scope, performance period, staffing, and budget) in collaboration with Awards Management Services (AMS) staff.

Additional Responsibilities

Align with the GPP Outreach team around collaboration opportunities or events with key donors that may arise during project implementation.  Collaborate with the Outreach team on the kick-off process for new projects. 
Manage micro-assessment and audit process for active projects, collaborating with AMS and GCU to ensure timely responses to donors and auditors. 
Maintain data integrity in databases utilized by CI, including PowerBI, RE, and Business World; includes the creation and management of monitoring systems and PowerBI dashboards utilized by GPP.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Full-time permanent position.
Hybrid working schedule, with 2 days of work in the office per week as a general rule.
Some occasional international travel can be expected.
Ability to work alternative hours to meet, consult, and advise staff in multiple time zones. Ability to work extended hours to meet deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required

A Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, public policy, international relations/development studies, or natural resource management. 
4 to 6 years of relevant work experience.
Strong program management skills, writing, and oral skills.
Basic knowledge of donor institutional frameworks.
Experience with networking, developing, and managing partnerships across a range of stakeholders.
Good understanding of conservation, development, and political issues in the United States and globally.
Strong proven interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment that requires collaboration and networking with others in dispersed locations.
Comfortable managing multiple duties and adapting to changing priorities.

Ability to work under general supervision and take initiative to solve problems under the supervisor's direction.
Willingness to travel (less than 20% of time).
