Our client, a leading company in the oil and gas sector, is seeking to employ a Stock Account/Warehouse Superintendent. As a stock account/warehouse superintendent, you will have a combined accounting and warehouse management responsibilities. This role involves overseeing inventory, ensuring accurate financial records, and managing the physical flow of goods in a warehouse. You are responsible for things like stock control, financial reporting related to inventory, and managing the daily operations of a warehouse, including receiving, storing, and stocking products. Your role is a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods from receiving to shipment, maintaining accurate records, and maximizing warehouse space and resource utilization.

JOB DESCRIPTION


Checking incoming shipments against purchase orders, reporting discrepancies, and coordinating with vendors for resolution. Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS).
Report on lubricant sales / financial results to supervisor.
Monitors and evaluates warehouse operational and marketing results and develops interventions to promote business development and growth.
Enter purchase details (vendors information, invoices and pricing) into internal databases.
Place orders to replenish merchandise as needed.
Track shipments and address any delays.
Organizing warehouse space, preparing goods for storage or shipment, and ensuring efficient material handling. 
Oversee storage of products, particularly of fragile items.
Evaluate suppliers’ offers and negotiate profitable deals.
Coordinate regular inventory audits and ensure updated inventory records (including daily shipments).
Ensure purchases do not exceed budget and compliance with inventory control policies
Prepare damage reports for write-offs and returns.
Preparing reports on inventory levels, stock turnover, and other relevant metrics.
Create systems to drive down waste and improve performance.
Review warehouse performance and costs continually to ensure satisfaction and performance, making changes and recommendations as necessary to achieve company’s required budgeted results within the business strategy.


REQUIREMENTS


Minimum of 4years’ experience in a similar role 
Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Business Administration / Marketing / Economics or any relevant field 
Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures, supply chain and auditing practices
Ability to work in warehouse environments, performing physical stock counts
Must be willing to provide police clearance for criminal record verification.
