Job Overview:
As an IT Systems Intern, your primary responsibility will be the effective administration of the Penda Points program. This role demands maintaining up-to-date point balances and ensuring a seamless operational experience for both Penda staff and patients.
This internship offers a rich learning experience in IT operations, providing a broad understanding of system analysis and management. You will engage in various hands-on tasks, crucial for evaluating and enhancing IT operations. Your involvement will span the complete lifecycle of software system implementation, encompassing system selection, deployment, and thorough evaluation.
A significant component of your learning journey will include gaining practical experience in conducting User Acceptance Tests (UATs), creation and management of systems documentations and more.. Regular system reviews will form an integral part of your responsibilities, essential for maintaining and boosting system performance.
Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to Business Continuity Planning (BCP). This aspect is crucial for developing robust strategies that ensure operational resilience and continuity.
This internship is not just a role, but a gateway to developing a strong foundation in system analysis and management, all while gaining invaluable exposure to real-world IT operations and strategic implementations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Penda Points Program Management: Efficiently administer and maintain the Penda Points program. Track participant progress, handle queries and issues related to the program, and assist with testing, and implementation of iterations on the program
Data Entry and Management.
Data Analysis: Analyzing and interpreting data using excel, creating charts, graphs and tables to help decision making and support business processes.
Software Support (Level I): Provide customer support for Penda's software products, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Documentation of Processes and Procedures: Create and maintain documentations of various processes and procedures, usually in the form of workflows, flowcharts, and checklists. Provide clear and concise instructions for both internal and external system users.
Training and Development: Work closely with the Business Systems Analyst to ensure that training needs aligns with overall business objectives.
Creation of User Guides/Manuals: create and update user guides and manuals, on how to use a particular software, process or product, to help users easily understand and effectively use the product or service.
Support for Technological Transition: Prepare users for the transition between technologies/processes, providing training and support during and after the transition, and monitoring and troubleshooting issues that may arise during the transition process.

Job Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science or related field
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication with end-users
Experience working with Power BI and Excel
Technical proficiency in database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation will be an added advantage.
