Tasks and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Chief, Youth, Education & Advocacy Unit, the part-time consultant's duties will include: Planning and delivering a two-day team retreat for UNEP’s Youth, Education and Advocacy Unit. This includes: Setting up meetings and establishing the brief
Interviewing team members on what they would like from retreat (around themed areas); · Designing retreat for the team
Hosting and leading a two-day team retreat for the Youth, Education and Advocacy unit.
Developing and hosting developmental coaching sessions post-retreat for the various members of the Youth, Education and Advocacy team
Design development coaching programme for small groups within team and 1-1, share with Chief for feedback
1-1 coaching for team members as well as group coaching;
Provide conclusion and findings of coaching and development programme.

Qualifications/special skills

Master’s degree in the area of communications required.
A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Diploma in coaching and/or mentoring preferred.
A minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience is required in the field of communications and/or advocacy.
Coaching and/or mentoring experience is required (teams and individuals). Team and Group Coaching Experience:
Experience working with and coaching teams/groups, ideally in an international context is required. Innovation:
Ability to think creatively about how to support team growth and project delivery in an international context is required
Communications: Able to communicate clearly and bring a diverse group of individuals and partners together to act on a common agenda is required
Event organization: Able to organize events, retreats, etc. is desirable
Writing: Strong writer of plans, proposals, etc. and able to clearly communicate event plans and outcomes is desirable
