Job Specifications
Ensure storage and transportation of petroleum products through the pipeline in the most efficient, safe, and economical manner.
Maintain a workable supply logistics programme based on statistical figures of product supply and corresponding requirements.
Preserve required product quality standards in the pipeline and storage system through liaison with SHEQ Manager.
Liaise with Oil Marketing Companies and stakeholders on ullage allocations, product transportation, pipeline supply logistic programme, and operational matters.
Coordinate with Operations Manager and stakeholders on the day-to-day running of the Depot.
Advise the Operations Manager on operational requirement changes for petroleum pumping optimization.
Ensure safe and proper equipment and machinery utilization.
Liaise with Maintenance Manager to implement proper maintenance schedules to improve plant and equipment availability and efficiency.
Make budgetary provisions while controlling departmental expenditure within agreed budgets.
Ensure correctness and timely production of all Operations Department management reports and proper dispatch and distribution as necessary.
Adhere to safety regulations and protect the environment.
Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate strategic corporate plans and budgets.
Develop and implement strategies for a high-performing organizational culture based on transparency, integrity, accountability, and performance measurement.
Initiate and participate in organizational performance reviews and business process improvement programmes, as well as special investigations to improve organizational effectiveness.
Participate in staff recruitment and selection to ensure candidates have required job competencies and provide necessary orientation and induction programmes.
Review incidents of policy violations, handle employee disputes, and take appropriate action in line with approved policies, procedures, and regulations.
Coordinate and implement training programmes in the Operations department to equip staff with appropriate job competencies.
Plan, monitor, and evaluate staff performance against set targets and objectives, implementing development action plans to build individual and team capacity.
Carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time.
Person Specification
Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, or recognized equivalent.
Minimum eight (8) years relevant experience with at least three (3) years in a management capacity.
Proficiency in Computer applications.
Corporate membership to a relevant professional body e.g. EBK, CSK.
Demonstrated competence in work performance and results.

Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of engineering aspects in Oil/gas Industry including broad knowledge of local and international standards.
Strong well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including ability to prepare relevant reports.
