Job Responsibilities

Harmonizing EIA review comments and records of decisions
Prepare and Proof read EIA license conditions
Communicate to the proponents queries and manage licensing regime’s records and registers
Assisting in environmental inspections; 
Incident management; 
Receiving, dispatching and reviewing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and Environmental Audits (EA) Reports; 
Notification of EIA reports due for reviewing and processing of licenses; 
Creating public awareness on environmental issues; 
Receiving and dispatching applications for various Licensing regimes; 
Mobilizing the public to participate in environmental conservation and management; 
Assisting the County of deployment to develop the necessary capacity for environmental management;
Coordinating community environmental activities; 
Monitoring the state of terrestrial ecosystems on a regular basis; 
Rapid assessment and inventory of terrestrial ecosystems; 
Creating and updating environmental data bases; 
Collecting and collating information for development of integrated management plans;
Compiling progress reports; 
Implementing relevant multi-lateral environmental agreements and donor funded projects; 
Liaising with lead agencies, NGOs and the public in environmental management of terrestrial ecosystems;
Implementing programmes to address climate change, air quality and desertification; 
Identifying and verifying appropriate measures to prevent pollution and environmental degradation.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in any of the following field; Env. Management,Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Env. Engineering, Env. Studies, Env. Science; Biochemistry, Natural Science,Community Development or any other relevant field
Proficiency in computer applications.
