CITAM seeks to recruit a born-again Christian who is experienced and self-motivated to fill the position of a News Reporter (Radio/TV/Digital), whose responsibility will be to ensure timely and accurate sourcing and generating of news items for the hourly radio and TV news bulletins, briefs and feature stories in English and Kiswahili.
The position reports to the Chief News Editor.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Gathers information for news stories: Investigates and collects facts for news reports through interviews, research, and on-the-ground reporting.
Feature writing and reporting: Research, script, voice and produce news and feature stories in English and Kiswahili.
Live news/on-ground reporting: Provide on-the-ground or live coverage of events, offering real-time updates.
Conducts interviews with sources and experts: Speaks with relevant people to get insights and quotes for news stories.
Translation and packaging of stories: write and package stories for both English and Kiswahili bulletins.
Writes news articles or reports for broadcast or digital: Compiles the gathered information into a cohesive story, either for website, broadcast, or digital platforms.


Requirements


Must be a born-again, mature Christian who conforms to the CITAM statement of faith
Diploma/Degree in Broadcast Journalism, communications, media studies or equivalent from a reputable Institution. A degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage
Minimum of 3Years’ experience
Multilingual 
News report writing, voicing and anchoring
