JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking for a highly inspirational and talented individual to join our team as a sales & Marketing GM. The successful candidate will be required to supervise, train and motivate a group of Sales & Marketing staff, develop effective sales strategies to grow market share in the dynamic hospitality and travel industry, deliver excellent and actionable sales reports and ensure that sales targets are met and exceeded.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing a team of Sales & Marketing Executives
Assigning targets to the Sales team and working with them to achieve the targets
Research various destinations and means of travel regarding prices, customs, weather conditions, reviews etc.
Proactively identify new potential clients and initiate, follow up, close the sales, Maintaining and ensuring quality relationships with clients.
Developing and increasing business by following up on potential leads with face to face presentation and meetings with clients and providing them the utmost customer service.
Demonstrates knowledge of hospitality and travel industry, the key competitors and their competitive advantages and aligns work plans with market insights
Use promotional techniques and prepare promotional materials to sell itinerary tour packages
Organizes for and actions on planned promotional activities to increase the company branding awareness in the hospitality and travel industry
Handle unforeseen problems and complaints and determine eligibility for money returns
Attend conferences to maintain familiarity with hospitality and travel industry trends
Provide feedback to all arms of the business i.e. operations, marketing, sales to enhance the Customer experience and quality of service so that the customer is satisfied
Provide Monthly performance reports, comparative reports, Trends analysis, Client Status Reports and new clients, Sales projections
Monitoring and ensuring customer payments and collection of accounts are in a timely manner.
Meet monthly and annual sales and marketing targets
Any other duties that may be assigned by the management

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Proven Sales experience in the hospitality and travel industry
Excellent knowledge of traveling software (computer reservations systems, GDS systems, Amadeus and e-travel)
Practical knowledge of using IATA BPS Link and accompanying systems
Practical knowledge of using various airlines booking and ticketing authorization systems
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
10+ years’ sales & marketing experience in the hospitality and travel industry
Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
