Key duties and responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the UI/UX Design Lead, Product Management, Software Engineering, and crossfunctional stakeholders to understand requirements, and to provide creative, thoughtful, usercentric solutions and experiences
2. Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process by developing
wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mock-ups, and/or high-fidelity prototypes
3. Understand the goals and desired calls-to-action of Untapped’s FinTech platform, and finding
ways to meet those goals while still advocating for the customer
4. Design a consistent user experience across mobile devices and desktop platforms
What you will bring to Untapped:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product,
industrial, etc.), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS) or a related field, or
equivalent practical experience
2. 1+ years of experience designing and shipping software products, ideally in FinTech
3. Experience building High Resolution Wireframes in Figma
4. Experience collaborating with Product Management and Engineering counterparts
5. Experience being a part of a multicultural, distributed team is a plus, ideally with some
experience in Africa
6. Experience in graphic design, including developing illustrations, logos, or other visualisations is a
plus
7. A passion for innovation and creative problem solving, and a strong curiosity to learn new things
and to experiment
8. Proficiency with other design tools like Sketch, Invision, Studio, Proto.io, Web flow, Balsamiq,
and Axure is a plus
9. A can-do attitude and the flexibility required to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
