JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Developing and implementing credit Policies, Procedures and Strategies;
Designing an institutional development plan that will result in an efficient micro credit program;
Recruiting and training selected groups about available products and services;
Facilitating disbursement of loans to identified groups based on the analysis of their applications in a time efficient manner and prepare payment plans;
Receiving potential clients and conduct an initial assessment and assist clients in completing applications;
Identifying and implementing partners, their capacity building and training needs as they correlate with microfinance;
Monitoring groups operations and purpose to attend weekly/monthly group meetings to keep abreast and follow up of all the activities;
Promote business growth by selling IG Sacco products and services to current and potential customers to ensure profitability;
Maintaining a quality loan book by ensuring timely repayment of Sacco products;
Monitoring the progress and performance of the existing loans;
Following up with clients about loan renewals;
Assessing creditworthiness and the risks involved;
Calculating accurate financial ratios i.e credit scores and interest rates;
Preparing and submitting timely and reliable credit reports to assist in decision making and evaluation; and
Performing any other relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time. 

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS.

Diploma in Credit Management.
CPA Part II
Other related professional qualifications will be an added advantage. 
Previous experience of working with an ERP system preferred.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Minimum two 2 years’ relevant experience in the financial institution
