In my several years of experience working in the Humanitarian sector. I have acquired substantial experience working on projects that strengthen and build the capacity of less privileged children, women, and youths in rural communities and improve education for significant development.
More so, I have managed and led the implementation of related projects funded by donors such as USAID, ECHO, DFID, DUTCH, FFP, CIDA, EUTF, SDC, OFDA, and currently BHA across the northeastern region of Nigeria.
As an Economic Recovery team leader, I have actively participated in several high-level consultation platforms such as the deliberation for budget allocation of cooperating service organizations/non-governmental organizations in Nigeria as well as facilitated stakeholders’ engagements through meetings, selection processes, and involvement where necessary throughout the implementation of specific projects currently within the DRC Nigeria mission. I have successfully built the capacity of subordinates within and outside my line of management with training on the knowledge of developmental programs on Economic Recovery through training of trainers (TOT) in rural and deep field communities across north-east Nigeria.
I have acquired and built relevant analytical communication skills and possess high efficiency in executing and delivering responsibilities given to me accurately with little or no supervision. In this capacity, I am the first person in the DRC mission to implement cash intervention in Maiduguri, and because of the success of the project implementation, I was recommended to kick off cash intervention project implementation in Adamawa state with an impressive record of success and donor satisfaction.
My leadership strength results in accepting leadership responsibility with high composure in effectively prioritizing responsibilities assigned to me in compliance with organizational policies and the general code of conduct. An excellent team player.
I am sure a proficient user of MS packages (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.) with expertise in developing documents such as MOUs, PDM tools, FGD tools, and any document of relevance.
