R&D software engineering for Tanzu Hub, which provides visibility into the resources running on a client’s multi-cloud infrastructure (including AWS, Azure and GCP): developed new features that expanded and modified the observability of traffic of the monitored resources by including more specificity in the mapping of communications between kubernetes clusters’ components with each other (between services, deployments, pods and nodes), as well as with external hosts.
Developed a customer consumption report in Python to monitor usability of new features. As the product evolved and the number of customers increased, developed a more advanced version in Golang, utilizing concurrency, which reduced processing time from over an hour to a couple of seconds.
Supported other teams by fixing bugs in the Tanzu Hub’s large and complex reactive system (most of it written in Java and Golang), that handles queries in GraphQL, ElasticSearch and other databases, messaging, notifications of violations, and remediation.
Attended Radio, the company’s worldwide internal innovation conference, and presented the latest developments in network trafficking observability for Tanzu Hub.
Actively communicated with teams in different time zones in the US and abroad (Europe, Asia), including via pair programming; followed best Agile and programming practices and complied with CI/CD procedures for different environments, from bleeding-edge development to production; kept track of new developments, technical discussions and alerts, and updated documentation at the internal business intelligence app as well as for customers.
Completed yearly certifications on security development lifecycle and privacy compliance; maintained a comprehensive documentation of OKRs, and received positive feedback from my direct manager and colleagues.
