About
I have extensive working experience of thirteen (13) years in a humanitarian context, most prominently with the UNHCR Representation Office in Somalia since 2014. I have enjoyed working with UNHCR in the Supply function and with other international and local NGOs, which has given me the opportunity to build my career and experience in the Supply chain management field. I have gained vast knowledge and skills working with UNHCR and other NGOs in different capacities and in different duty stations in Somalia.
Throughout my entire professional career, I have enhanced my skills and advanced my qualifications. I earned a Master of Arts in Disaster Resilience Leadership and Humanitarian Action at the United Nations University for Peace (UPEACE), a Master's degree in Business Administration at Lincoln University College, and Bachelor's degrees in Logistics and Procurement Management as well as Public Health.
I was deployed on an Emergency (ERT) mission to support Sudan's operation for the Ethiopia situation for 6 months (from July 2021 to Jan 2022) and currently under deployment on an Emergency (ERT) mission to support South Sudan's operation for Sudan's situation. These experiences have provided me with international professional exposure and the opportunity to serve overseas.
