Tom Odera has worked extensively with communities both in Kenya and across the border in the horn of Africa through the IGAD/Conflict Early Warning and Early Response Mechanism (CEWARN) and has a good foothold locally due to his time at the National Steering Committee on Peacebuilding and Conflict management at the Office of the president, Ministry of Interior. I am sure Tom will come handy in the crafting of institutional strategy in facilitating effective response to conflict in country and from a cross border perspective while advancing more practical implementation strategies with better outcome and Impact to the benefit of local populations and the country at large.
